# Gabapentin vs pregabalin

I’d be interested in hearing my fellow burners experiences with both these drugs. I’d been on Gabapentin for 6 months but just couldn’t take the side effects any more: compromised cognition, equilibrium off, short term memory problems, and still on fire! My doc has started me at the lowest dose. I’m hopeful, but at this point not confidant.

Lyrica is much better for me!!! On gaba I couldn't remember if I even let my dog out.!!

Amy, thank you That thought that it might do the same for me, gives me comfort. My doc has started me out on 25 mg 3x a day for the first month. I’m worried about flaring on such a dose and am thinking about taking 100mg 2x a day of Gabapentin. My docs PA told me to go cold turkey on the Gabapentin but worried about fire. Right now I’m on a simmer. P
