Third Sodium channel implicated!

Well done Mads!!! You do have your finger on the pulse! This is fascinating. Saw Professor Kolstenburg at NHNN and he was wanting to see if David Bennett had done more than testing genetically for Nav 1.7. He must have already been thinking of this. I am waiting to see what they plan to do next and will report back.

Thanks Mads, that was interesting.

Thanks ajh. Aside support, the LWE mods strive to keep all members informed ;)

God bless

Just my person experience but I think this is a lot of hogwash!

“Secondary EM reactions occur after symptoms to the underlying disease. This means they are predictable to some degree and can potentially be cured/managed with the underlying disease.”

My neurologist told me the same thing. He also told I’m secondary because I have Ankylosing Spondylitis (a rheumatological condition) and that would make sense based on what we know about EM but my AS has been mainly unchanged for the last 20 or so years (since biological drugs). Prior to that it was really bad.

I’ve had AS for 32-33 years. However, I’ve had EM for my whole life (I’m 51), even as a small child, it was just quite mild up until the last 3 years ago. I don’t know how much better my AS could be treated but my EM has tons of room for improvement.
