I agree ... when I've missed doses due to delay in getting dr. to approve refills, the side effects are awful. I get shaky and have hallucinations, the whooshing noises and tinnitus also. Serious stuff.
So itās been about 27 months on Venlefaxine. And for my burning it took care of 95% of my issues. You have to take it at about the same time everyday or you get dizzy, foggy, not fun.
I got off it 3 months ago. Reason is, it completely messed with my mood. I was never really happy nor sad. I was a zombie and I hated it. So now my mood is much better and my flare ups are back, although not quite as bad. I may try lyrica soon. Iāve tried CBD, which is pot minus THC. No luck there.

I have experienced almost complete remission of EM symptoms after being treated for Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome caused by mold exposure. Iām a nurse practitioner and kept researching like crazyā¦ Couldnāt get rid of the idea that a home I lived in that had water damage had contributed to my development of EM. You ask a very important question when you ask if anyone has looked into mold as a possible cause. That was the game changer for me!

Hi Lauren, I have just been reading your comments about the water damage causing mold as trigger for your EM. How did you manage to find the mold in your house? Did you have a specialist come to your house to anlayse your walls or something like that?
I am still in my search for my EM cause, after one year doing loads of different blood test at hospitals, doctors etc. Nothing showing results yet. Next month I am also starting a first treatment with a functional practitioner and hope that can give me some more answers on where to go from here. Just want to get better really. I noticed they had questions related to mold as well. So therefore just curious how you solved that. This will be my last try to solve this EM through a non-medcal treatment. If that doesnāt help, I will start to try meds to see how that works. Looking at Venlaflaxine at low-dose to start. during the day I am quite oke, but when it gets evening or end of the day, I can only walk around the house without socks/shoes.
