Doctor in MD?

I am new to this forum, and to EM. My neurologist recommended I subscribe and ask about doctors near Frederick, MD that are familiar with and have successfully treated patients with EM. Does anybody have a recommendation? Johns Hopkins and George Washington University are nearby.

I think that Johns Hopkins would be the place. If you google ‘johns Hopkins Erythromelalgia’ you will get some hits. Don’t know the name of a doctor but just call and tell them what you need. Usually we start with a dermatologist (even though EM is NOT a dematological problem). Good luck and I’m sorry that you have this awful disease.

the best doctor is in colorado at uch hospital dr ringel he knows all about em i am having a test done by a doctor in germany a dr ingo kurth in jena germany it is a genetic test done by him. i will wait for the results

Thank you Liz. I just called Johns Hopkins and they are researching a specialist and will get back to me.

I would love to live in Colorado and visit Dr. Ringel, but for now am looking for a doctor closer to Washington D.C. I hope your test results are helpful!
