Do you eat healthy, exercise and drink enough water? Do you smoke tobacco or drink alcohol regularly? I’ve found that a healthy diet especially more paleo and exercise helps me the most. When I have flare ups or pain I do not touch the area AT ALL. And I use CBD and Kratom to deal with the pain.
Don’t be embarrassed, there are many of us having these issues. I think you will feel much better being open with the problem instead of hiding it which seems to bring more anxiety.
Eating healthy has made no difference with me. Actually I think it made me very weak and prone to infections(cellulitis) in my feet , when I went on a all paleo diet
…I think they only thing I can tell as far as food …is portion sizes …keeping things minimal/small meals and also sounds weird but making sure you have regular bowel movements everyday has lessen the flare ups

Eating healthy and exercising comes hand in hand. Exercise is the most effective to me because circulation is very important in my experience dealing with this. Of course over eating and not having regular bowel movements is never good for you. I just make sure to be eating a lot of green vegetables, lean meats and minimal grains. If I’ve been eating very salty and fatty foods with a lot of preservatives. Sugary drinks and junk food, along side alcohol and coffee daily is a sure way for me to have flares.
Kratom is the main thing that helps for pain the most, but CBD compliments it quite well. I get a vape pen that has CBD cartridges. They sell them at the local head shops around here. Usually takes 3-4 puffs from the pen. I think you can also get it in various other forms like syrup.
