I had read of some success with immunoglobulin replacement therapy for EM, has anyone ever used and had any success with this type of treatment?
Hi Davipot.
I haven't tried this line of treatment before and have yet to hear of it myself. Did your doctor recommend this ? or is this something you found yourself? Do you know what has caused your EM? Is this therapy related to your underlying cause if you have one? Sorry to ask so many question. I am just always on the look out for other treatment options as I have yet to find one that helps. Thank you,
Take care,
Alina
Hi Alina,
I stumbled across this whilst trawling the internet for potential relief for my Daughter. If you follow this link. I have asked the doctor heading up my Daughters pain team of its potential efficacy. I will let you now what she comes back with.

I had also been interested in stem cell research, there have been break throughs in the treatment of MS patients with stem cell trials, I know this is with MS but wonder about it working with EM, on 60 minutes I saw a young mother in The Gold Coast here in Australia get treated with this in Moscow, the results were amazing. I don't know if this treatment will have uses in EM treatment gut feel thinks they would be closely related , I'm no Doctor though.

The other thing I have looked at is treatment with prednisone, steroids basically no good for long term but again it has helped people with EM, yo may have already looked at this there are two schools of thought it might help but may make things much worse.

I hope this helps answer your question and you find something that helps.
