sharitypopo, with the greatest respect for your safety you should not be trying to do this yourself. As BethL said it should be prepared by a qualified/licensed compounding pharmacist based on a doctors prescription. No-one here is qualified to even attempt to tell you how to make a prescription only pharmaceutical product (and anyone who did would be in breach of our site guidelines of 'describe not prescribe'). Please take the proper medical advice on this.

Thank you. So, how do I prepare the mix? :O i'm excited about it... the tablets are 10mg each... how much cream do I use? :/
Jules, agreed completely. A compounding pharmacy in my hometown compounded it for me. The script was written for the cream rather than for the actual medication. Thanks!
Hi everyone - for those of you who have tried Midodrine compounded cream - would you mind sharing how much your compounding pharmacy charged you? My doctor finally agreed to write the prescription for me but the pharmacy just called and told me it would cost $240 for 200 grams (about 7 ounces)! In the Mayo clinic study, they applied the cream 3 times a day so 200 grams wouldn't last long. I'm really hoping this pharmacy is way off-base.
I have been using Midodrine for several months; is does help and can get it filled at a local compounding pharmacy. It costs me about 80 dollars (US) for 3-4 weeks supply. I hope you do well with it; my GP is also giving me a weekly Lidocaine IV push that has been helping too.
Hi LJ - thanks so much for responding! I'm encouraged to hear that you're able to get it at a more reasonable price (and that I could ship it from your pharmacy if need be). I'm so glad it's helping you!
Bootcamper - if you're still on this forum - I know you were trying Midodrine as well. Is it working for you? Do you mind sharing what your pharmacy charges you? Thanks so much!
Has anyone tried 5% Midodrine? I asked for an Rx but when I took it to the pharmacy the charge was going to be 500 dollars for 3 wk supply; I am sticking with 2% and have seem a big change in the redness and swelling. If you are using 5% is that price out of line?
Morning! I feel like I am getting some relief with the 2%. I’ve not heard of using the 5%, but if anyone is achieving further relief with such, I’d love to know. The pharmacy I use charges $92.00 and the cream lasts about 3-4 weeks. Hope this helps!!
Hi everyone - I found a way to get around the steep price of midodrine cream. I’ve already shared this with one of the members and I’m thinking it might be useful to others. My doctor agreed to write me a prescription for oral midodrine which my insurance covers (costs me $5 at Costco). Then I take the pills to a compounding pharmacy which transforms them into a cream for $30. So I get 240 grams (about 8.5 oz) of 0.5% cream for $35. If I had the compounding pharmacy make the cream using a midodrine powder they order, it would cost me over $200. Best wishes
