New Research - New SCN9A Mutations Found

Just got a Google alert for this research paper abstract:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23129781
It found:
- Two novel SCN9A mutations, one of which was "In erythromelalgia case 7, we identified a novel Q10>K mutation."
So, if I read it correctly, the research has found variants of SCN9A mutation, which may suggest a reason why many of us have different symptoms and responses to stimuli.
