UHi,
I hope all my EM sisters and brothers are having a calm night. I’m heading to Hopkins for a second opinion. I went to Mayo in June and did sweat test and they claimed my % of sweat and locations of sweating are normal. If that is the case, is it just a coincidence that my EM is in my toes??
Anyone have similar results of guidance.
So hate that the dots not connected.
Negative skin punch biopsy and QSART.
I meant to say sweat test showed I do not sweat on my toes. Yet, Mayo says it’s normal.
Seems odd that my EM is in that area.
FWIW that is normal. If your toes do sweat it is a condition called hyperhidrosis and its a bugger… EM almost always presents in the toes and feet first.
One of the cool things about Johns Hopkins is they do a lot of genetic testing and I would certainly ask. There are several forms of EM that have a genetic link as well as several OTHER diseases such as Fabry disease that present like EM. Its about all thats left after QSART, sweat, and biopsy.
