Is there something special you did to treat yourself or make yourself feel better? We'd love to hear about it.
Crazy but I bought a new pocketbook that I fell in love with...every time I look at it..it brings a little smile to my face.
Yes, it's a bit superficial..but it makes me happy..and isn't that really what it's all about.
i started taking a chronic pain workshop a week ago.....it is once a week for 6 weeks.....it is so nice to meet others that are dealing with chronic pain and how much we all have in common. it does seem to make the coping a lil better if only for a day......but i am learning new ways to help myself which is in its self a big step forward finally......
I started going to a place called Blue Star Therapy where they do Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT) and use Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-dHEa-yl5o&feature=youtube_gdata_player . I’ve been going once a week and notice small improvements each time. She is currently working on my autonomic nervous system dysfunction using IMT.
I have been going to a chronic pain workshop too, it's been a great help, I have learnt mindfullness and do some ACT too.!

I went out with my twin sister dancing, I knew that it would make the next few days hard but I drank alcohol and danced the night away. (spent next 2 days in bed but it was worth it as I had a great night and felt normal)
Interesting...
I too have joined a chronic pain management program...includes occupational therapist, physical therapist, kinesiologue, and psychologist... not sure it has helped as much as I was hoping for but I have learned a little more about taking care of MYSELF and breathing and relaxing techniques...it sure helped me through my EEG and Brain MRI :)
Also, I found out this morning that genetic testing for my EM came back negative!! Which means I couldn't possibly have passed it on to my son...doesn't do much for my pain but certainly a relief for me to know I haven't given my son this horrible disease...so, after 2 years of treatment for inherited/primary EM, it's back to the drawing board...:)
Good for you Laura!!!
That's great !!! Sorry you were in such pain after but at least it was for a good reason! Respect !!

A little( i mean lot), of what you fancy does you good ! Friday I bought myself 2 Terry chocolate oranges and stuffed myself like a woman possessed. I knew one wasnt enough and 2 was just being real greedy but i just fancied chocolate. Shop keeper eyed me knowingly - blood sugar low dear? Im not embarrassed to say that it took under 10 minutes to demolish them both. Repercussions well worth it!
Its pepperoni pizza gorging next time lol!
Wow Mads I thought I could eat chocolate oranges but wouldn’t have managed two, kudos to you… Lol
I managed to eat Eastery rubbish all day, last day of term before Easter meant choc choc and more choc at school… Diet well and truly blown.!
I'm having really great results with acupuncture. I tried it years ago and had no relief but on a lark I tried it again with someone new and..my flare ups have been MUCH less painful.
