It's now summer in nz and i'm mostley barefoot or sandals i keep my feet moisturized but can't seem to avoid getting bleeding cracks on heels. any solutions?????
With EM you must look after your feet. Soak your feet in a bowl of warm water every night whilst reading a book until the water cools down - at least ten minutes. Scrap off dry skin from heels. It will now be soft and easy to do. Use finger nails for this not a scraper. Do is very carefully and not too vigorously. Dry your feet properly and then rub in a cream especially made for feet containing urea available from chemist shop or supermarket.. Do this every night until the cracks are healed then scrap your dry skin off in the same way in the shower every other day and apply the cream. This worked for me on very deep cracks ten years ago and I have never looked back. I also massage my feet with cream regularly and I have young looking feet although seriously red because of EM.

With EM creams, lotions and all them stuff might irritate your feet and cause a very un wanted flare up as it does with me and I noticed also with a lot of others. Use watered down Vaseline, it’s a big spray and you spray iron your feet and it is very light, cold and amazing!
The skin on my feet is soooo dry and cracked due to the heat from within. I try to soak them and rub the skin off but it sets up a huge flare up. Again, with moisturising, any form of touching or gentle rubbing is torture.
I'm so ashamed of how they look, and since I can only wear open flip flops all year round, I do get people looking.
I've really had enough, got to the stage where I don't want to go out due to the appearance and flip flops hardly look good for a night out.
So sad.
hi Janice that is the same with me, my feet and bottom of my legs are all cracked with dry skin, because I can't do anything with them without suffering with a bad flare up!can only use watered down Vaseline when I have a gd day which is barley never:( (but to anyone tht can use stuff on feet it is great).doctors complain about me not putting anything on it but don't understand the pain it brings!. Like you, I also wear sandals all year round and sooo many people stare, ivetotto a stage now the burning is so bad it's takes over the caring!. I barley go out due to EM feet looking bad and even if there not so noticeable I need my hair and make up to give me confidence as it ismy mask because if my hair and stuff goes wrong, I won't leave the house as I feel so low, EM has left me with 0 confidence. I use Gold bond foot therapy cream after dipping my feet in cool water. I have been dipping for 2 years and my feet are ok. I hope this will help you.
I will be praying for you.

I sure wish I could wear sandals. I was outside enroute to the doctor and the temperature is 40 below. Brrrrrrr. And me barefoot. Oh, to your heels......
1. If you have any kind of a callous on your heal or anywhere else on the foot. sand it off. Keep them sanded off. You must keep the heel skin as thin as you can. If you have a callous, you will have cracks. Take extra good care of your feet.
2. Keep lots of lotion on your feet. I use a brand called Elta. The brand is not important. The daily (or twice daily) application is important. Some will tell you that the lotion must have urea in it. That is good too.
3. If you do have a crack, then you must get it healed. The crack is a very narrow "V." That "V" needs to be widened. This is difficult for me to explain...The top of the "V" needs to be wider so the wound is more flat....I could draw a picture much easier than explaining in words. Then keep Bacitracin on the open wound.
I hope this helps
