I am writing to see if anyone has taken the epilepsy drug carbamazepine to releive their EM symptoms and pain. I am wondering how people did on it and were there any severe side effects? thank you

I used to take Carbamazepine for a nerve condition I was suffering from a couple of years ago which I experienced down the left side of my head and arm. It was the only medication that relieved the symptoms/pain and I am seriously thinking of going to my GP to ask if I can go back on it to see if it helps my EM symptoms in my feet. I had no side effects whatsoever and found it did me only good.
You may already have given it a go as I see your question was dated back in April - would be interested to hear how you are getting on in general anyway.
