What shoe insoles work best?

I don't know what insoles work the best, but I went shopping 6 months ago for shoes and settled on Reebok Reflex. They're only slightly less comfortable on the soles as $150 asics(sp?) and less then half the price. The bottom sole is pretty squishy soft but I also like the mesh allows my feet to breath and be cooler. I wear nylon socks. I wear a dr sholls gel insert and an arch support.

has anyone tried this with a sandal? http://www.walmart.com/ip/As-Seen-on-TV-Strutz-Cushioned-Arch-Suppo...

I might pick one up. I have arch pain but I'm not sure what it's from, I use arch supports in my shoes but would like to buy a new pair of sandals that have enough arch support. I really like my reebok reflex shoes and they make similar sandals but I heard they have no arch support.

Looks like most of you are women and can get away with wearing sandals to work and going out but I'm a man and I look silly in sandals and a suit. Any suggestions to this?

Nice Guy Danny,

I hope this posts. Something is wrong with how the website handles my posts now. Anyway, have you tried fisherman’s sandals for work? They’d be too hot for me, but better than completely closed in shoes. This is a really good brand (finn comfort), although expensive. http://www.shoebuy.com/finn-comfort-mens-fisherman-sandals.htm Their finnamics have great arch support, by the way, for Plantar Fasciitis, although I’m not a fan of rockers when my PF isn’t acting up.
