The neurologist gave me lidacaine patches. I am supposed to cut it up and put pieces on my toes and the sole/ball of my foot. I just put on two little piece on two toes to see if I feel anything different. And a little piece on the sole of one foot. It is hard to tell because the other toes still hurt. I may do one whole foot tomorrow- all the toes and the sole and compare it to the other foot.
Anyone have experience with this?
Thanks
Jordy
I'm sorry Jordy , I have not tried them. I know others here have so hopefully you will be able to hear from them. I have tried the cream but my doctor said to use no more than a pea size amount and that little bit didn't help with mine. I hope they help!
Take care,
Alina
Dear Alina,
I was writing to you whilst you were writing to me. Thanks for your reply. I am going to try one foot tomorrow and see if I can see any difference.
Take care,
Jordy
They are 5% and you leave them on for 12 hours and then off for 12. You can cut them up in smaller pieces which is nice because you can put a piece on each toe and I also have a larger piece on the sole of my right foot, I am just doing the one foot today to see if I really feel any difference.
I went to Google and I queried it and if you go to the "Lidoderm" website they have a video on them - how to apply them. They are most often used after shingles for the lingering neuropathic pain but they may work with this too.
I will let you know what I think after a few days. The weekend- when I really suffer because I am more active and my apartment is hotter than my office - will be the real test. I am so uncomfortable trapped in my apartment on the weekends.

Thanks Tizzy - I do have an A/C in the bedroom and I use it at night. Do your feet feel better in the morning? When I first wake up my feet just feel achey. They feel stiff and a little fluid filled but they don't burn till I have been up for a while - in fact when I first get up some of the toes are blanched and some are blue- the soles of my feet are also blue. That's why I wonder if I have Raynaud's and EM.
