Found these ****Bedfans**** online

Has anybody ever tried this or anything similar? I use a bulky, noisy free standing fan at the foot of my bed but this seems like a dream..

I might have to just start saving..!

I ordered the one from Brookstone today. It was $99.00 and I had a $5.00 off coupon. They also are offering free shipping. I can't wait till it gets here. I will let you know how well it works when I try it out :o)

There are lots of reviews on Amazon. It seems a bit expensive but could be wonderful if it works. Looking forward to seeing how octoberfarm gets on with it while I save my pennies.

Found this one for $20 less, I am very interested as my feet burn and sting so badly at night... If it works it would be well worth the money!

Octoberfarm, I hope you will come back and post if you like the bed fan! I am considering purchasing one. I am waiting on a shipment of somethings that were recommended by a friend. I will post about it, IF it works.

I am still waiting for my fan to get here. I am so looking forward to getting it. I really hope it works. I will let you all know if it works and if it is worth the money. I sure hope so :o)

Take care

I got my fan and I am sad to say that I am very disappointed. It fell down several times and I really could not feel that much air coming out of it. It was kind of loud and caused vibrations that irritated my feet. I am going to return this bed fan. I think a regular box fan sitting on a table at the end of the bed would have worked better. I don't know how it might work out for someone else, but for me, it is a not a winner.

Take care

That is soo sad, I was considering buying that fan. Now I need to rethink this!!

Thank you!

I am sorry, that must be so disappointing. I am grateful for your feedback as I was thinking of giving it a go in spite of the price. They probably have no idea how much heat we give out; pity all that energy can’t be harnessed in some way. lol

I was sitting here thinking of another way I could get a fan to work and I think I might have a solution. I am going to have my husband work on it this weekend and if I get it to work I will let you all know. If it turns out like I want it to I will post a picture of it and directions on how to do it. Keep your fingers crossed :o)

I've been using something called a Chili Pad - maybe this has already been discussed but just in case it has not, here is the website:

http://www.chilitechnology.com/Chili_Pad.html

Basically, it's a mattress pad that has tubes running chilled water thru it. As you can see, there is a cooling unit that does all the work. I keep mine set at 60 for now (depends on the season), and it keeps my core body temp down and I don't have to freeze out my husband with the AC! It's helped me, but I have no idea where I am on the pain scale compared to everyone else. My feet and hands usually heat up in the evening and during sleep, so this keeps me from having to get up to run cool water on them. I hope this helps others, too.

Hi again,

I am sorry but I tried to make something work, but no luck. I bought another fan from Wal-Mart that looks like a round blower with a louver vent but it was way too strong even on the low setting. I think I am going to give up on the fan for now unless someone comes up with something that will work.
