CBD oil is legal. It contains none of the good stuff. It’s made of hemp.
Should be but everything I read says it’s not and as it’s oil can be a felony. Did you read the article by NORML. I mean they track this stuff. It’s really disappointing as I’d like to try it.
Just to clarify this thread, CBD oil is illegal under federal law of the United States. Federal law supersedes all state law. While it is unlikely the DEA would take action against a purchaser, purchasing CBD oil in a locality where it is also illegal under state law exposes you to an extra level of risk. CBD oil is illegal in the state of Texas except for as treatment of intractable epilepsy.

It’s prohibition from the last century all over again. I think alcohol should be illegal. But who cares what I think. All I know is that CBD OIL has made my life bearable. It was my neurologist who told me to get it. The good stuff THC has been removed. It’s just oil extracted from hemp not MJ plants. What a screwed up world we live in. Here in the USA, states where medical MJ is legal, opioid deaths are down 21%.
Oh! Carter, just added a scoshi of cymbalta and reduced the Lyrica and my thinking is much clearer. Still taking 150 mex 2x a day. Hope you are still doing well

Satochan, thinking of you saying they should ban alcohol here you can’t smoke in pubs now and I always say they should ban alcohol in pubs as people drink and drive and kill people.
Loads of pubs closing down due to banning smoking. I don’t see why they can’t have smoking and non smoking rooms. One poor old man used to go for a drink in his local when they banned smoking he stopped never saw anybody and eventually committed suicide
Oh Julia! I didn’t mean in England! I was saying tongue in cheek here! USA ! Historically, in the 1920’s liquor was illegal and there were places called “speakeasies “ that the cops would raid and throw everyone in jail. That’s how the Kennedys became so filthy rich. People were desperate for booze. Prohibition. The point I was not so clearly making is that imho it’s just as wrong to ban MJ now as it was to ban a drink back then. I just hope I live long enough to see MJ legalized in Texas. When I used to fly layovers at Gatwick, one of my favorite things to do was drink hard cider at the pub across the street. Wouldn’t you think smoking on the outdoor patio wouldn’t jerk too many chains? I feel so sad for the man. Because of the EM, I can’t drink any alcohol any more because it starts the burn. I hope your medical probs have eased. Piers Morgan was telling some guest on this talk show how marvelous the health care system is in GB and Americans are just ill informed about the quality of single payer insurance. Without competition, we would be pawns under the health care system. You KNOW he has a private dr for himself and his family. ARGH1

Eventually getting round to replying. I have had heating problems here and it’s been really cold not like Cornwall at all and we have even had snow. So, I have stopped in my lounge with an electric heater on. It’s working now.
I was actually joking about banning alcohol in pubs. I have a friend who is always going on about smoking, but her husband drinks and drives and I first said it to her.
The problem with people smoking on outside patios is that people living nearby have to put up with the noise. Also, the town pubs don’t have patios and people are out on the footpaths again making a lot of noise and disturbing residents.
The health service here used to be great, but it’s more since the Conservatives got in that it’s gone rapidly downhill and more and more parts of it are being privatised. As you say Piers Morgan won’t be having NHS treatment and neither will any of our MPs.
Actually my stump pain is going worse all the time. My GP and I have come up with the idea of having a private MRI scan to see exactly what’s going on as nobody has ever done anything like that. He isn’t allowed to refer me on the NHS it has to go through a consultant. So, he has referred me now. Also, he said once we get the results he is going to put in his own complaint to the medical director for one thing saying how can a surgeon decide what’s wrong without seeing me and also about the original man that was supposed to do the amputation refusing to speak to him.

Hearing all you’ve suffered makes me a little crazy. There’s no competition with the nhs. They can be just as incompetent as they want. They don’t answer to any one. You’re in slavery to them. I’m surprised there’s not protests in the streets.
I so hope you continue to encounter competent and caring doctors like this last one. Sometimes life just sucks…and then the next day is a little better.

Considering many states now have legalized recreational marijuana, the DEA isn’t going to waste resources on the purchasers of a product that doesn’t even deliver a high. The greater concern is your state government. Texas has a very conservative state government and it’s possible they might enforce prohibition more rigorously.

There are plenty of protests on the streets about our NHS, but the Government just ignore it.
The latest doctor is my GP and he has always been on my side. The trouble is he has no control over the hospital doctors.
I suppose it’s true that we shouldn’t be condoning illicit activities of any sort, but it is silly.
